Sunday update

I can’t believe that Christmas is only a couple of weeks away. The weather doesn’t help. Where is Summer? A white Christmas might be nice for a change.

Our unit has been sold and we’re due to settle on the 15th. We’ve pretty much moved all of our gear out now, the major junk we moved this morning with the help of Dad and his trusty Hilux-007.

Nellie’s birthday is coming up on the 17th, it always seems to be a week long celebration in itself. I’ve got a couple of weeks off over Christmas for the first time in living memory. We’re going to split our time between Wahroonga and then perhaps spend a few days on Dangar Island. Christmas Day is always difficult with family spread far and wide but you get that.

No major plans for NYE as yet, I guess we’ll take it as it comes. Work is looking to be extremely busy in the new year, in addition my team is also looking at a move downtown in the next couple of weeks which will be interesting.

In March, we’re heading over to New Zealand for Nellie’s cousins wedding to be held on a vineyard at Featherstone (about 1 hours drive from Wellington). I’ve never been to NZ so am looking forward to it immensely. Will be extremely interested to visit Wellington and perhaps see a little of the North Island while we’re over there.
