Best of the season

How good was the Japanese Grand Prix! After a rain affected qualifying session (Ralf Schumacher in a Toyota on Pole…), many of the fastest runners found themselves languishing at the backend of Sunday’s starting grid.

What followed was one of the most exciting grand prixs I can ever remember - particularly Fernando Alonso’s bold move around the outside of Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari on the superfast 130R on lap 20, followed closely by Kimi Raikkonen’s wild wheel-on-the-grass move on Giancarolo Fisichella’s Renault into the first corner of the last lap.

Fantastic stuff.
