Steak and Guinness

The recipe said that I should keep adding layers of pastry until it was about half a centimeter thick, I ended up adding three in total.


The result after 45 mins in the oven was at first a little overwhelming, as shown above, just about touching the roof of our oven. Despite first appearances, the pastry ended up being light and flakey, the leftovers had last night even better than when it first left the oven on Sunday night.

We’ll be making this pie again.
