A 137-Mile 'Cycling Utopia' Floating Above London's Rail Lines ▶︎

Foster + Partners’ smash it out of the park with their proposal for building a network of cycling corridors around/above London:

“SkyCycle is a lateral approach to finding space in a congested city,” says Foster. “By using the corridors above the suburban railways, we could create a world-class network of safe, car-free cycle routes that are ideally located for commuters.”

Brilliant.

Griffin iTrip

Since getting a car again, being faced with a 30-40 min commute each morning and investing in a Griffin iTrip Autopilot to get around the fact that the Polo doesn’t have an iPod connection, nor audio-in (shame!) I’ve been listening to a fair few podcasts lately.

On very high rotation are the excellent podcasts produced by Dan Benjamin’s 5by5, particularly the Back to Work show with Merlin Mann and The Talk Show with John Gruber. The first one because I’m going through a bit of a GTD phase and have found it to include a boatload of helpful nuggets to get me a little more motivated and organised; the second to hear some great discussions around all things tech.

If you’re into this kind of stuff, I definitely recommend listening in.
